TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: 1 kings5-8 chapters
DEVOTION
Kings 8:56 Not one word has failed of all the wonderful promises He gave through Moses. God promised the Israelites rest through Moses and He fulfilled it. Not one word failed. In the same way, God may have given you a promise, but right now it feels like nothing is happening. It may look like stagnation, delay or even silence.
But His Word reminds us in Isaiah 55:11 (NKJV), So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth, it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. If God has spoken it, He will do it. No matter your circumstances finances, family, studies, or struggles, His promises are not dependent on your situation.
Abraham received God’s promise at 75, but saw it fulfilled 25 years later. Joseph waited about 13 years for his dream to come true, enduring slavery and prison. He who promised is faithful to fulfill. Stay focused. Keep meditating on His promises. What He has spoken over your life will come to pass in His perfect time.
PRAYER
Lord, thank You for the promises You have spoken over my life. Help me to trust even when I don’t see progress.I look forward with faith to the day of fulfillment. Amen.
