TODAY’S SCRIPTURE : I Samuel 12 – 15 Chapters
DEVOTION
I Samuel 15 chapter contains a strong warning for those who try to appease God with religious practice rather than obedience. Saul took up the mission he has been given but not completely.
SAUL DID NOT OBEY COMPLETELY
God instructed Saul to wipe out Amalekites nation completely which included people & livestock. But Saul disobeyed God and chose to keep the best of cattle and sheep for himself. In the same way when God tells us to get rid of sinful practices in our lives, we are disobeying him if we keep on committing certain sins.
Maybe God has given you a task or a mission to accomplish. Do it in complete obedience not partial. Obedience is not easy at all, it’s hard.
But will you still obey God even when it’s tough? PRAYER
Dear God, I’m sorry for my disobedience please help me and forgive my sins. Amen.
