TODAY’s SCRIPTURE : Matthew 27-28 chapters
Matthew 28:10 (NLT)
“Don’t be afraid! Go tell my brothers to leave for Galilee, and they will see me there.”
By calling His disciples “my brothers,” Jesus demonstrated His love and grace toward them, even after they had doubted, deserted, and abandoned Him in His hour of suffering. He did not reject them because of their failures. Instead, He reached out to them with a message of hope and restoration.
Jesus instructed the women to tell His disciples to go to Galilee, where they would see Him, just as He had told them earlier. Yet, overcome by fear, the disciples later gathered behind locked doors in Jerusalem, afraid of the religious leaders.
And what did Jesus do?
He came to them right where they were, behind those locked doors. Later, He met them in Galilee, just as He had promised.
What a beautiful reminder of His love!
Sometimes, God asks us to take steps of faith when our circumstances make us afraid. His instructions always have a purpose, even when we cannot fully understand them. Fear may cause us to hesitate, hide, or doubt, but it cannot prevent Jesus from reaching us.
Jesus meets us right in the middle of the fear and fearful situations.
When we are afraid, His presence reassures us. When we feel weak, His love strengthens us. And when circumstances threaten to overwhelm us, He reminds us that we are never alone.
Zephaniah 3:17 reminds us that the Lord is with us, mighty to save, and that in His love, He calms us.
So, do not be afraid! Whatever you are facing today, remember that Jesus is with you. You do not have to wait until every situation changes to experience His peace. Trust His presence, follow His instructions, and take that next step of faith. The One who calls you is also the One who walks with you.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, the world and the circumstances around me sometimes fill my heart with fear. But today, I choose to trust You rather than be ruled by my fears. Thank You for never abandoning me, even when I feel weak, uncertain, or afraid. Thank You for meeting me in the middle of my struggles and calming my heart with Your presence and love. Give me the courage to obey Your instructions and the faith to take each step You ask me to take. In Jesus name, amen.
