29 SEPTEMBER 2026, DAY 272 – I HAVE CHOSEN THEE

TODAY’s SCRIPTURE : Haggai 1-2 Chapters

DEVOTION

“‘In that day, says the LORD of hosts, ‘I will take you, Zerubbabel My servant, the son of Shealtiel,’ says the LORD, ‘and will make you like a signet ring; for I have chosen you,’ says the LORD of hosts.” Haggai‬ ‭2‬:‭23‬ ‭NKJV

‬‬

The book ends with a closing message to Zerubbabel containing an amazing affirmation“I have chosen thee.”That proclamation is ours as well. Each one of us has been chosen by God, especially the one reading this right now.

Ephesians 1:14 reminds us that we are God’s possession. When you belong to God, how can you undervalue yourself or say things like, “I am worthless”?

You must never speak such degrading words over yourself. You are not your own, you belong to Him.This truth should help us see our value in God’s eyes and motivate us to live and work for Him.

When you are low,

when you feel worthless,

when you question your existence,

when you feel terrible about your life,

remind yourself

“GOD HAS CHOSEN ME!”

And nothing else matters.

PRAYER

Lord, thank You for choosing me as Your child. Thank You for the privilege You have given me to call You my Father. Help me to remember my worth in Your eyes and to live faithfully for You. In Jesus name, amen.
