TODAY’S SCRIPTURE : Zephaniah 1-3 Chapters
DEVOTION
The book begins with the message of doom, but by the end, it became a message of hope.
Under Josiah’s religious reforms, the people returned to God outwardly, but their hearts were still far from Him. In the midst of such circumstances, Zephaniah encouraged the people to turn to God, seek Him, and look forward to His promise of restoration and hope.
We must ask ourselves
Is our reform merely an outward show?
Is it really changing our hearts?
Are we truly drawing closer to God?
When we are not willing to change our hearts, we cannot expect God to do everything for us. True transformation begins when we surrender our hearts to Him.We need to gather together and pray, walk humbly with God, do what is right, and hold on to the message of hope concerning the new world to come.May our outward actions reflect an inward transformation, and may our hearts continually seek and please God.
PRAYER
Lord, let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to You. Help me to examine my heart, turn away from what displeases You, and walk humbly in Your presence. Transform me from within and help my life reflect You. In Jesus name, amen.
