23 JUNE 2026, DAY 174 – THE GIFT OF OPEN COMMUNICATION

TODAY’s SCRIPTURE : Psalms 129-131 Chapters

DEVOTION

Psalm 130:3,4 NLT “Lord, if you kept a record of our sins, who, O Lord, could ever survive? But you offer forgiveness, that we might learn to fear you.”

Holding onto sin or harboring a grudge is like building a wall in a relationship. Communication becomes strained, trust weakens, and closeness fades.

But God is not like that. He does not keep a record of our confessed sins. When He forgives, He forgives completely, removing every barrier between us and Him. Because of His forgiveness, we can approach Him freely and honestly. We do not need appointments, recommendations, or lengthy procedures to gain access to God. While it may be difficult to meet influential people in this world, the Creator of the universe is always available, ready to listen, ready to forgive, and ready to help.

What a privilege it is to have direct access to a loving God whose line of communication is always open! Pause and just think about these last two lines again.

PRAYER

Dear God, thank You for the open communication I have with You. Thank You for Your complete forgiveness and unconditional love. Help me never take this privilege for granted. Teach me to forgive others just as You have forgiven me. In Jesus name, Amen.
