TODAY’S SCRIPTURE : Psalms 119:1-88 Verses
DEVOTION
“How can a young person stay pure? By obeying your word.” Psalms 119:9 NLT
It reminds us that purity is not achieved by human effort alone but by allowing God’s Word to guide our thoughts, choices, and actions.
We live in a world that constantly pulls us away from God. Temptations, distractions, and sinful influences surround us every day. If we rely only on our own strength, we will eventually fail.
The psalmist points us to the solution which is obeying God’s Word. God’s Word cleanses our hearts, renews our minds, and helps us recognize what is right.
As we consistently read Scripture, meditate on it, and put it into practice, the Holy Spirit gives us the strength to resist temptation and walk in purity. There may be times when we know what God’s Word says but still fall short. In those moments, we can run to God for mercy and grace. He is patient with His children and willing to help us grow. Purity is not about perfection, it is about CONTINUALLY SURRENDERING our lives to God and choosing to follow His Word day by day.
Stay close to God’s word, read, believe it, and obey it. Through His grace, He will help us remain pure in an impure world.
PRAYER
Dear God,
Thank You for Your Word that guides my life. Help me to read it faithfully and obey what it says. When I fail, please show me Your mercy and grace. Give me strength to walk in Your ways every day. Amen.
