TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Job 7-9 chapters
DEVOTION
Job 7:11 (NIV) “Therefore I will not keep silent, I will speak out in the anguish of my spirit.” Job was in deep anguish and bitterness and he chose to speak honestly to God. This verse gives us a powerful insight that when we express our feelings to God honestly, we can process them in a healthy way without hurting others or ourselves through our words and actions.
Next time when you hit a low emotional wave, remember that God is always willing to listen. Pour out your heart in His presence.
Psalms 56:8 (NLT) “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.” What a comforting truth!
Even in our deepest sorrow, God cares deeply for us.
In your highs? God is there.
In your lows? God is there ALWAYS.
When you feel overwhelmed, unable to express your pain, or burdened by life, remember this
GOD SEES EVERY TEAR.
He knows everything about you even the number of hair strands on your head. That’s how deeply, He loves and cares for you. So don’t be discouraged by circumstances or by what others say. Child of God, be courageous. He understands every emotion and sees every struggle.
Psalms 30:11 (NLT) “You have turned for me my mourning into dancing.” God is able to turn your mourning into dancing. Even if you are going through pain right now, choose to trust Him. Put on some worship music, lift your heart, and if you can, move in joy as an act of faith. You could listen to “This Is How We Overcome” by Hillsong Worship and let your spirit be lifted.
GET EXCITED MY DEAR FRIEND AND THANK HIM FOR TURNING MOURNING IN TO DANCING.
PRAYER
Lord, thank You for turning my mourning into dancing and my sorrow into joy. Help me to trust You in every season and to bring every emotion honestly before You. Amen.
