DAY 50 – IN THE NAME OF THE LORD OF HEAVEN’S ARMIES

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Deuteronomy 19-21 chapters

DEVOTION

Deuteronomy 20:1 (NLT) “When you go out to fight your enemies, and you face horses and chariots and an army greater than your own, DO NOT BE AFRAID. The Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, is with you.”

The ENEMY in our lives may not always be a person. It can be our circumstances, problems, health issues, depression, fear or loneliness. God reminded the Israelites that even when they saw a powerful army with horses and chariots, they should not be afraid because He was with them. Their strength did not come anything but from God’s presence.

1 Samuel 17:45 (NLT) “David replied to the Philistine, ‘You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.’”

When the enemy came against David with weapons, David came in the name of the Lord. Likewise, when challenges stand against us, they may come with fear, pressure, and weakness. But we go forward in the name of the Lord Jehovah.

The Bible says the name of the Lord is a strong tower. We don’t need to run north, south, east, or west for help. We must run to His name. So, let us not be afraid. Let us stand strong. Let us fight in the name of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

PRAYER

Dear God, help me to face every enemy and every challenge in the name of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. I trust in You alone. In Jesus name, Amen.
