TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Numbers 10-12 chapters DEVOTION
Numbers 11:23 (NLT) “Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘Has my arm lost its power? Now you will see whether or not what I say comes true!’” In this passage, the Israelites began complaining about the food they had in Egypt. Moses responded by saying, “Even if we butchered all our flocks and herds, would that satisfy them? Even if we caught all the fish in the sea, would that be enough?”
Did God ask Moses for suggestions?
No.
Instead, the Lord replied “Has my arm lost its power?” How strong is God? It is easy to trust God when we see His mighty works. But as time passes and life becomes routine, His power can seem distant to us. Not because God has changed but because our perspective has. God never changes. But our view of Him often does. The monotony of daily life can make us forget how powerful He truly is. We become so focused on our problems that we forget to focus on the One who solves them.
In the New Testament, Peter walked on water as long as he kept his eyes fixed on Jesus. But when he looked at the waves, he began to sink. In the same way, when we face challenges, we may begin to limit God’s power in our minds. Remember, child of God He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Only our perspective changes with our circumstances. Let us choose to fix our eyes on Him no matter what surrounds us.
PRAYER
Dear God, Thank You for being the same yesterday, today, and forever. Sometimes I change the way I see You, but You never change. Thank You for Your limitless power in my life.Help me to trust You completely in every season. In Jesus name, Amen.
