TODAY’S SCRIPTURE : Exodus 37- 40 chapters DEVOTION
Exodus 39:43 (AMP) “And Moses inspected all the work, and behold, they had done it; just as the Lord had commanded, so had they done it. So Moses blessed them.” As we come to the closing chapters of Exodus, we see the completion of the tabernacle the dwelling place of God among His people. After all the detailed instructions and months of labor, Moses carefully inspected everything that had been done. What stands out in this verse is not just the beauty of the work, but the faithfulness behind it.
If we divide the verse into three meaningful parts, we discover a powerful spiritual principle
1.Obedience
The Israelites followed every instruction that God had given to Moses. They didn’t change it. They didn’t simplify it. They didn’t add their own ideas. Instead, they chose exact obedience. This teaches us that God values not just our effort, but our faithfulness to do things His way. Obedience may not always be easy.
2. Inspection & Approval
Moses inspected the work to ensure that it had been done exactly as God commanded. Only after careful examination did he approve it. This symbolizes a deeper truth our lives and our work are also seen and examined by God. He looks beyond appearances and measures our obedience, our intentions, and our faithfulness. When our work aligns with His Word and His will, it receives His approval.
3.Blessing
Finally, Moses blessed the Israelites. This blessing represents God’s favor resting upon their work. Blessing follows obedience and approval. When we do what God asks us to do in His way, His favour flows into what we have built, touched, and laboured over.
Now, pause and place your own name into this story. Has God given you a task “Plan XYZ?”
Have you completed what He asked you to do?
Did you walk in obedience while doing it?
If God were to inspect your work today, would it meet His approval?
And finally, can God bless what you have done? These are not questions to create fear, but to awaken reflection.
God is not looking for perfection. He is looking for obedience, faithfulness, and a willing heart. Just as He honoured the Israelites obedience with His blessing, He is ready to bless the work of your hands when it is done according to His will.
PRAYER
Dear God, Thank You for entrusting me with a great task. Yes, Lord, I choose to be obedient in everything You have asked me to do. When You inspect my work, I believe God, that You will approve it. Bless the work of my hands and let Your favor rest upon me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
