TODAY’S SCRIPTURE : Exodus 33 to 36 chapters
DEVOTION
A young couple once arrived at their son’s school award ceremony. As they entered the hall, they noticed their little boy sitting among the students, his head turning back and forth restlessly. Instantly, they knew what he was doing, he was searching for them. The moment his eyes finally found his parents, his face lit up with a bright smile. From that point onward, he never looked away again throughout the entire program. Later, as the parents reflected on that moment, they realized something profound that their presence made all the difference for their child. Simply knowing that they were there for him.
In the same way, this is true in our spiritual lives. No matter what we go through serious illness, financial difficulties, loneliness, broken dreams, or a depressed heart, what truly makes the difference is this unshakable truth, God is there with us.
His presence changes everything. In Exodus 33:15 (AMP) “And Moses said to Him, ‘If Your presence does not go with me, do not lead us up from here.’” Here, Moses is essentially saying to God, “If You don’t go with us, I’m not taking even a single step forward.”
He understood that success, direction, and victory are meaningless without God’s presence. Moses preferred the wilderness with God rather than progress without Him. Likewise, this should be our prayer too.
“Yes, God! Without You and Your presence, I’m not going to take a single step. Only if You come with me will I go anywhere or do anything.” Furthermore, God reassures us with His promise in Joshua 1:9 (AMP): “…for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” This means we are never alone, not even in our struggles, not in our decisions, and not in our waiting seasons. His presence gives us courage, direction, and peace, even when circumstances don’t change immediately.
PRAYER
Dear God, thank You for Your presence in our lives. I declare that I will not go anywhere unless You come with me . Lead me, guide me, and stay with me in every season of my life. In Jesus name, Amen.
